PACKAGING DESIGN AND ENGINEERING
I redesigned Gantri’s packaging, replacing the previous bubble-wrap system with a universal solution capable of accommodating multiple SKUs. To ensure durability, I conducted drop tests following ISTA standards. The new design reduced assembly time for the production team, lowered costs, and was more environmentally friendly, being fully curbside recyclable.
The packaging uses an innovative suspension system to securely hold various shapes and sizes. Opening the box becomes a moment of delight: the user pulls a latch, releasing the suspended top, which gracefully pops up to reveal the product, carefully presented and ready to enjoy, without any assembly required.

Gantri’s original floor light packaging relied on custom cut-out inserts for each individual model, which drove up production costs and slowed down packing. Customers also reported frustration with having to assemble their lights after delivery. I designed a suspension-style packaging system using two separate sets of clamshells to securely hold the top diffuser and bottom base. This approach accommodated multiple designs with the same packaging, passed rigorous drop tests, and allowed customers to enjoy their lights straight out of the box, eliminating post-delivery assembly and reducing packaging time and cost.
