INNOVATION SYSTEMS & EXPERIENCE MAPPING
As a freelance designer for Bayer, I partnered with the innovation team to translate complex ideas into clear visual narratives for leadership and business presentations. My role involved helping the team brainstorm, visualize concepts, and communicate strategic initiatives in a way that made abstract processes more accessible and engaging.
This first project was developed to help senior leadership understand the innovation team’s ideation process and funding pathway. I worked closely with stakeholders to map their workflow, identify the key messages, and distill complex information into a visual story that clearly communicated how ideas progressed from early concepts to funded initiatives.

This project involved creating an experience map for Bayer’s radiology team to better understand the needs of diverse patient groups across the imaging journey. As healthcare systems increasingly prioritize patient-centered experiences, the team wanted to identify how needs, emotions, and pain points varied across different users. For example, a child preparing for an MRI may have a vastly different experience and set of concerns than an elderly patient undergoing a CT scan.
I helped the team define key personas and facilitated a step-by-step exploration of each user journey, mapping interactions, emotions, and opportunities throughout the process. After documenting these experiences, I collaborated with stakeholders to identify unmet needs and areas for improvement, uncovering opportunities that could inform future innovation initiatives.
